The Settlement Centre Waikato is a project of HMS Trust. The Centre is owned by Hamilton City Council and the Trust has an operational lease and service delivery agreement with HCC to support the settlement of newcomers – mainly migrant and former refugee communities to Hamilton.
The centre was opened in 2005 and offers an information service and venue hire rooms as well as the home to several settlement support agencies such as English Language Partners, Waikato Refugee Forum, Migrant Youth Training, and Hamilton Multicultural Services Trust.
Newcomers from anywhere in the world will find their contact with the Settlement Centre Waikato invaluable. The Centre offers free information and referrals for service providers and local organisations. There is no charge for accessing information at the centre.
